Let’s Make A Deal

Standard

online shopping   It took me quite a while to get on board with the E-bay craze. Bartering over another person’s crap sounded a little silly. But, considering how much I love garage sales, I figured I would check it out. This holiday season, I did some of my shopping online. I felt a sense of exhilaration as I found a killer deal on E-bay. That ended when the item finally arrived. Did I learn my lesson? Oh no, I bought a few more items thinking maybe this was a one time fluke. It was not.

I purchased a toy for my daughter that I hadn’t seen in any stores. The picture was huge and the E-bay post stated it was a limited edition and this was the last one remaining! I suckered right in and bought it immediately. I waited 4 weeks for it to arrive. When I opened the box, there was a toy inside that was literally the size of a happy meal toy. I paid $12.99 for this damn thing plus shipping. What an idiot. The other items that arrived (one never did show up) were much of the same. Wrong size, wrong color or just flat out didn’t work. I did receive one item that was actually what I expected. But for now, I think I will just stick to shopping at the store. Then, I can see what I am purchasing; plastic junk made in China. My daughter does have a birthday coming up…
