Ready for the Runway

runway    The New Year is here and many women are looking to reinvent themselves. I read an article about the top fashion trends for Spring 2015. Honestly, I had no idea what they were even talking about. Something about Boho, crop tops and Gingham. Maybe this means something to you but I obviously will not be fashionable this spring or any other time. I don’t care. What I do care about is just finding something that actually fits. Why is this such a problem?

The average woman is a size 14. So here’s an idea, stock the store with that size! When I get to the rack, all I can find is a size 6 (haven’t been that size since I was 6) or a size 18 (it hasn’t gotten that bad yet). If you are lucky enough to find something in a size 14 or 16, it is usually turquoise in color or has a bunch of flowers on it. I am already a tank, like I want to draw additional attention to myself. It would be more flattering to grab a box of hefty bags and some rope and make myself a dress. But wait, I don’t have any shoes to match and all they have are a size 5 or 10 (most of us wear a size 8). Guess I will keep wearing the same rags from last year and the year before…
